Please note that I am based in Kingswinford, DY6. I am not mobile and do not offer home visits, for the reasons given HERE.

When you book an appointment, you are reserving a specific time slot in my diary. If you fail to attend your appointment, this not only results in lost time for me but also prevents another client from using that slot. I understand that emergencies can arise and that children or pets may become unwell. However, I kindly ask that you notify me as soon as possible with a phone call or message.

Due to previous issues with missed appointments, any cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may require full payment in advance for any future bookings.

If you have already paid for your scan and need to rearrange your appointment, I will always do my best to offer the earliest mutually convenient alternative appointment. However, please note that all payments are non-refundable.

CPS provides an information-only scanning service. If your dog is confirmed pregnant, there is no guarantee regarding the number of live puppies. CPS also reserves the right to refuse to scan any dog displaying signs of aggression, and in such cases the full scan fee will still apply.

When visiting our premises, you do so entirely at your own risk. Owners remain fully responsible for their dog at all times, including any accidents, damage or injury that may occur while on the premises. It is advisable to allow your dog to empty their bladder and bowels before attending the appointment.

In some cases, particularly with very thick or long-haired breeds such as Akitas, Malamutes or Huskies, it may be necessary to shave a small area of fur in order to obtain a clear scan image. I always try to avoid shaving by using water and ultrasound gel where possible.

Due to my commitments at home, I’m unable to send images after the appointment. Please take any photographs you require on your own mobile phone before leaving the premises.

Why I No Longer Offer Free Scans

Over the years, I've learned that kindness and generosity don't always protect you from being hurt. There have been numerous occasions where I've provided free pregnancy scans for people I considered friends, rescue establishments, or because I simply wanted to help. I genuinely believed those acts of kindness would be appreciated and remembered.

Unfortunately, experience has shown me that isn't always the case. Relationships can change, disagreements can happen, and goodwill isn't always reciprocated. When someone who has benefited from your generosity can later use a review or public platform to try to damage your reputation, it makes you realise that mixing friendship with professional services is rarely a good idea.

For that reason, I have made the decision that, going forward, every scan will be charged at my standard advertised rate, regardless of the circumstances or personal relationship. This isn't because I no longer want to help people, but because everyone deserves to be treated equally, and clear boundaries protect everyone involved.

It has been a difficult lesson to learn, but sometimes the hardest lessons are the most important.

Important Information

This is a scan-only service and does not include ongoing support, breeding advice, whelping guidance, puppy-feeding advice or emergency assistance.

Although I am happy to offer general advice where I can, this is provided as a courtesy and only during reasonable daytime hours. I regularly receive calls and messages after 8pm, followed by repeated messages and calls if I do not respond. Please respect my personal time and do not contact me late in the evening. Any urgent concerns about your bitch or her puppies must be directed to your veterinary surgeon.
